WHEREAS, Resolution 25-1305-RES authorized the application for funding assistance for reimbursement of certain improvements at the Foley Municipal Airport through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the State of Alabama, acting by and through the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT), and,
WHEREAS, the reimbursement is for city expenses incurred during the construction of an 8-unit T-Hangar building in 2023, and,
WHEREAS, the City of Foley has received a grant offer from the FAA in the amount of $137,000 and from ALDOT in the amount of $3,605, and,
WHEREAS, this is the final reimbursement for this project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts the FAA grant offer in the amount of $137,000 and the ALDOT grant offer in the amount of $3,605 and authorizes, directs and empowers the Mayor or the Airport Manager to enter into an agreement with the FAA.
SECTION 2: Approves the following revenue account and amends the budget accordingly: 400-1070-4111 FAA Airport T-Hangar Const by an increase of $137,000 and 400-1070-4206 State Airport T-Hangar Const Grant by an increase of $3,605.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
