Doug Walls with The Well Church in Foley would like to host a Back To School Community Event in Heritage Park on September 14, 2024 from 3 pm - 6 pm. This free Back To School Event will be for families with kids that are school age. They will have free activities for families and kids to enjoy. There will be multiple non-profits, including other churches, para-church organizations, and community social services. They will also distribute school supplies, have games set-up, and provide opportunities for people to connect with organizations that might be useful to them and their families. They will have tents and tables set up for the event stations and they will have music.

WHEREAS, Doug Walls of The Well Church has requested to waive fees for the use of Heritage Park, and
WHEREAS, The Well Church plan to host a Back To School Community Event on September 14, 2024 from 3 pm - 6 pm and
WHEREAS, they plan to set up tents, have kids activities, and play music with set-up and break down occurring each day.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves waiving the fees for the use of Heritage Park for The Well Church to host a Back To School Community Event September 14, 2024 from 3 pm - 6 pm.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
