WHEREAS, the Foley Police Department requests Council’s permission to memorialize the application submitted to Homeland Security Local Competitive Grant for Soft Target/Crowded Places Protection, and
WHEREAS, applications were due on August 27th, and
WHEREAS, the police department requested $50,000 in non-match funding to purchase approximately 400 ADA Strongwall Barricades plus two trailers to house the barricades, and
WHEREAS, these would be utilized for events at Heritage Park or other locations where barricades are needed throughout the City.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Memorializes the application submitted to the Homeland Security Local Competitive Grant for Soft Target/Crowded Places Protection.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
