The job analysis results indicate that the pay grade of this position should be placed at a G-100 as opposed to the current G-80 pay grade. Additionally, a new job title of Education Progams Coordinator is being assigned and the position is being moved from the Nautre Parks Department to the Environmental Department. The current FY20 Budget has a pool of funds available for position upgrades and this resolution will also authorize a transfer of funds in support of this position upgrade. Therefore, the action is budget neutral.

WHEREAS, The essential job duties of the Events Specialist/Office Manager position in the Environmental Department has changed significantly whereas a new job analysis became necessary, and
WHEREAS, The job analysis results indicate that the pay grade of this position should be placed at a G-100 as opposed to the current G-80 pay grade, and
WHEREAS, A new job title of Education Progams Coordinator is being assigned and the position is being moved from the Nature Parks Department to the Environmental Department, and
WHEREAS. The current FY20 Budget has a pool of funds available for position upgrades and this resolution authorizes a transfer of funds in support of this position upgrade.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Authorizes a title change to the current Events Specialist/Office Manager position (job code #5090101) to the new job title of Education Programs Coordinator (job code #2040104); authorizes a pay grade increase from a G-80 to a G-100 in the City's Pay Classification Plan; and authorizes moving this position from the Nature Parks Department to the Environmental Department.
SECTION 2: Authorizes a transfer of funds in the amount of $2,772 out of the Reserve for Salary Increases Account #100-9200-5999 and authorizes a transfer of funds into the Environmental Salaries Account #100-2040-5000 in the amount of $2,458; into the Environmental Payroll Tax Expense Account #100-2040-5004 in the amount of $188; into the Environmental Retirement Expense Account #100-2040-5007 in the amount of $112; and into the Environmental Life/Disability Expense Account #100-2040-5006 in the amount of $14.
SECTION 3: Authorizes a transfer of funds in the amount of $30,728 out of the Nature Parks Salary Account #100-5090-5000 and into the Environmental Salaries Account #100-2040-5000; $2,351 out of the Nature Parks Payroll Tax Account #100-5090-5004 and into the Environmental Payroll Tax Account #100-2040-5004; $1,401 out of the Nature Parks Retirement Expense Account #100-5090-5007 and into the Environmental Retirement Expense Account #100-2040-5007; $175 out of the Nature Parks Life/Disability Premiums Expense Account #100-5090-5006 and into the Environmental Life/Disability Premiums Expense Account #100-2040-5006.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
