Body

WHEREAS, the City of Foley desires to amend the Personnel System Policy with regard to PSP § 1.2(1) for those positions defined as Regular Full-Time Positions as a Department Head and/or Director and to reaffirm the designation of certain positions within the City as Appointed City Officials pursuant to PSP § 1.2(4) and Alabama Code § 11-43-3.

 

BE IT ORDAINED that the Foley City Council as follows:

 

Section 1:                     The following positions are designated as "Appointed City Officials" by the City Council: City Clerk, Finance Director/City Treasurer, Police Chief, Fire Chief, City Prosecutor, and Municipal Judge.

Section 2:       The following positions are designated as "Regular Full-Time Positions" as a Department Head and/or Director: City Administrator, City Engineer, Human Resources Director, Planning Director, Executive Director of Leisure Services, Executive Director of Public Safety, Executive Director of Infrastructure and Development, Executive Director of General Government/Administration, Public Works Director, Director of Parks and Recreation, Municipal Court Clerk/Administrator, Library Director, Director of Senior Services and Municipal Complex, Revenue Director, Information Technology Director, Sustainability and Natural Resources Director, Horticulturist, Building Official, Director of Public Projects, Communications Director, Museums and Heritage Director, and Director of Destination and Events Services.

Section 3:       The salaries and/or benefits of these positions will not be affected by this action.

Section 4:                     "The terms and provisions of this ordinance are severable.  If any part or portion of this ordinance is declared invalid, void, or unconstitutional, that portion shall be deemed severed, and the remaining portions of the ordinance shall remain in full force and effect."

Section 5:                     All ordinances or parts of ordinances, in any manner conflicting herewith are hereby repealed.

Section 6:                     This ordinance shall become effective upon its publication as required by law.
