WHEREAS, Resolution 21-1204 approved a citywide intersection study to be performed by Thompson Engineering, and
WHEREAS, Resolution 22-1120 approved Thompson Engineering's proposal of providing 30% construction plans completion for multiple intersection improvements including Michigan Avenue/Juniper Street and Michigan Avenue/Cedar Street intersections, and
WHEREAS, Engineering has requested a professional service design proposals from Thompson Engineering for the 100% construction plan design for the Michigan Avenue/Cedar Street intersection and the Michigan Avenue/Juniper Street intersection improvements for a roundabout design for each intersection, and
WHEREAS, Thompson Engineering has submitted a proposal in the amount of $156,500.00 for Michigan Avenue at Cedar Street and $158,500.00 for Michigan Avenue at Juniper Street for the 100% construction plans for said services for these two intersections which totals $315,000.00, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves Thompson Engineering's professional proposal in the amount of $156,500.00 for Michigan Avenue at Cedar Street and $158,500.00 for Michigan Avenue at Juniper Street for the 100% construction plans for these two intersections and appropriates $156,500.00 to Account No# 400-3020-5161 Michigan/Cedar and $158,500.00 to Account No# 400-3020-5162 Michigan/Juniper.
SECTION 2: Authorizes the Mayor to execute Professional Services Agreements with Thompson Engineering for each of these intersections for each of these locations.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
