WHEREAS, the Engineering Department requests permission to apply for the FY23 Rebuild Alabama Act Annual Grant Program, and
WHEREAS, the maximum grant award is $250,000 with no matching required with applications due February 10, 2023, and
WHEREAS, the project would request funds to resurface S. Alston Street from W. Azalea to W. Rose, and
WHEREAS, the total project cost is estimated to be $300,000 with $250,000 requested in grant funds and $50,000 match.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the Engineering Department’s request to submit an application to the FY23 Rebuild Alabama Act Annual Grant Program and authorizes matching funds if awarded.
SECTION 2: Council authorizes Mayor and other City officials to sign the application and other documents required to proceed grant request.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
