WHEREAS, A new 2018 Dodge R1500 is needed by the Parks Department to replace a 1997 Ford F250 because of the cost of maintenance, and
WHEREAS, a front mount mower is budgeted for $35,000 under account #100-5010-5100 (old #01-611-7010) but can be deferred another year so the truck can be purchased.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the purchase of a new 2018 Dodge R1500 from Tallasee Automotive, Inc. for $23,753.00 through State of Alabama - Division of Purchasing, Ref. Vehicle Contract #T191/#MA 999 16000000028.
SECTION 2: Approves deferring the purchase of a front mont mower budgeted for $35,000.00 under Acct# 100-5010-5100 (Old #01-611-7010) and purchasing the truck instead.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
