WHEREAS, the South Alabama Mutual Assistance Agreement is by and between Baldwin County, Alabama, through the Baldwin County Commission and the City of Foley, and,
WHEREAS, the purpose of this agreement is to provide an understanding between and among the counties, towns and cities of the South Alabama Mutual Assistance Compact in providing and receiving mutual aid as a result of any disaster in the form of all available resources including personnel, equipment or supplies.
WHEREAS, this agreement was signed by Mayor Koniar on April 3, 2017.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Authorizes the Mayor to sign the South Alabama Mutual Assistance Agreement.
SECTION 2: Memorialize the execution of the agreement signed by the Mayor on April 3, 2017.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
