A Resolution Approving the Purchase of Three (3) Trucks for Street Department
Summary
The Street Department requests to purchase 3 trucks for 3 crews. Because the city has expanded and grown, these are much needed since there are more streets/culverts/ditches/ROW's to cover/monitor/repair/maintain and more employees to transport. These are additions to the Street Department fleet. We have to order in advance to receive the trucks by June 2021, for which time the trucks were budgeted. We request for:
ST Construction - a 2020 RAM 5500 CC Truck from Tallassee Automotive, INC. under State Bid #T193A for $54,900.00, which was included in the FY21 budget for $55,000.00 under account# 100-3011-5100,
ST Maintenance - a 2021 RAM 2500 CC Stivers Prattville CDJR. under State Bid #T191 for $25,928.72, which was included in the FY21 budget for $26,000.00 under account# 100-3012-5100, and
ST Sidewalks - a 2021 RAM 2500 CC Stivers Prattville CDJR. under State Bid #T191 for $25,928.72, which was included in the FY21 budget for $26,000.00 under account# 100-3013-5100

WHEREAS, the Street Department requests to purchase three (3) trucks for 3 crews:

ST Maintenance - a 2021 RAM 2500 CC Stivers Prattville CDJR. under State Bid #T191 for $25,928.72, which was included in the FY21 budget for $26,000.00 under account# 100-3012-5100,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the purchase of three (3) trucks for three (3) Street Department crews:
ST Construction - a 2020 RAM 5500 CC Truck from Tallassee Automotive, INC. under State Bid #T193A for $54,900.00, budgeted in FY21 under account# 100-3011-5100,
ST Maintenance - a 2021 RAM 2500 CC Stivers Prattville CDJR. under State Bid #T191 for $25,928.72, budgeted in FY21 under account# 100-3012-5100,
ST Sidewalks - a 2021 RAM 2500 CC Stivers Prattville CDJR. under State Bid #T191 for $25,928.72, budgeted in FY21 budget under account# 100-3013-5100.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
