WHEREAS, the Nature Parks Department requests permission to apply for the FY2025 Gulf Coast Resource Conservation and Development Council (Gulf Coast RC&D) Grant, and
WHEREAS, the grant will be accepting applications starting April 1st through June 30th, and
WHEREAS, the Nature Parks Department will be requesting $15,000 to go towards the purchase of a wheelchair accessible electric shuttle, and
WHEREAS, the purchase is expected to cost approximately $22,000 and the City will be responsible for the difference between the purchase price and any awarded grant amount.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the Nature Parks Department to apply for the FY2025 Gulf Coast Resource Conservation and Development Council Grant to be used towards the purchase of a wheelchair accessible electric shuttle, and approves the additional funding if awarded.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
