WHEREAS, the two automatic entry gates, their operating systems and access keypads at the Foley Municipal Airport are in disrepair and in need of replacement, and,
WHEREAS, this is an unplanned project, three quotes were obtained and Hagan Fence provided the lowest quote for this project,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the surplus and disposal of the two current entry gates, their operating systems and access keypads and authorizes disposal by the best possible means.
SECTION 2: Approves the quote provided by Hagan Fence for the purchase and installation of two new gate systems in the amount of $32,000 plus a 10% contingency and appropriates $35,200 to Account #400-1070-5110 Air-Gate.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
