Description of Topic: (who, what, where, when, why and how much) The southwest quadrant of Foley has seen significant growth and an increase in traffic volumes in recent years. Streetscape projects promote pedestrian connectivity enhancement, vehicular traffic calming, increased street tree plantings and decorative lighting, and additional designed parking. We have requested a professional proposal from JADE Consulting for this streetscape project along West Orange Avenue. Engineering will return to council to request permission to solicit bids.

WHEREAS, The Southwest quadrant of Foley has seen significant grown and an increase in traffic volumes in recent years,
WHEREAS, Streetscape projects promote pedestrian connectivity enhancement, vehicular traffic calming, increased street tree plantings and decorative lighting, and additional designed parking, and
WHEREAS, Engineering received a professional services proposal in the amount of $83,200.00 from JADE Consulting for implementing traffic calming measures along West Orange Avenue, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves JADE Consulting's professional services proposal and appropriate $100,000.00 under Account No. #400-3020-5183.
SECTION 2: Authorizes the Mayor to execute the professional services agreement with JADE Consulting.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
