WHEREAS, Resolution #24-1385 amended Resolution #24-1188 to modify existing Library Policies & Procedures for the Foley Public Library, and
WHEREAS, as the library moves into the new facility, new policies addressing Photography & Videography, Auditorium Use, Meeting Room Use, Boardroom & Study Room Use, and Game Room Use need to be adopted, and
WHEREAS, in order to be eligible to receive FY2027 State Aid, revisions were made to previous policies to fulfill the requirements of Chapter 520-2-2 Supplemental State Aid to Public Libraries, and
WHEREAS, all other policies were reviewed and updated as necessary, and
WHEREAS, these changes will modify the Foley Community Library's Lending Policy, Patron Code of Conduct, Unattended Children Policy, Computer & Internet Acceptable Use Policy, Collection Development Policy, Cultural Heritage Scope of Collection Policy and Appendices.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the adoption of the updated Foley Community Library Policies and Procedures, which will supersede all past Library Policies and address Lending, Patron Code of Conduct, Unattended Children, Photography & Videography, Library Programming, Computer & Internet Acceptable Use, Auditorium Use, Meeting Room Use, Boardroom & Study Room Use, Game Room Use, Collection Development, Cultural Heritage Scope of Collection, and Appendices.
SECTION 2: Rescinds Resolution #'s 24-1188 and 24-1385.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
