Summary
The Nature Parks Department requests to submit an application for the FY2025 Alabama Coastal Area Management Program (ACAMP) grant through ADCNR. ACAMP is current accepting applications until April 25, 2024. Matching funds will be required at a 1:1 ratio with grant funds. The funds would be used for the construction of a butterfly conservatory at Graham Creek Nature Preserve. The estimated project cost is $200,000, however the grant maximum is $50,000 with the remaining project costs will be city funded.

WHEREAS, The Nature Parks Department requests to submit an application for the FY2025 Alabama Coastal Area Management Program (ACAMP) grant through ADCNR, and
WHEREAS, ACAMP is current accepting applications until April 25, 2024, and
WHEREAS, the funds would be used for the construction of a butterfly conservatory at Graham Creek Nature Preserve, and
WHEREAS, the estimated project cost is $200,000, however the grant maximum is $50,000 with the remaining project costs to be city funded.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the application to be submitted by the Nature Parks Department to apply for the FY2025 Alabama Coastal Area Management Program grant.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
