WHEREAS, the Marketing Department previously requested permission to apply to the Alabama Semiquincentennial Community Grant under 26-1133-RES, and
WHEREAS, a grant of $2,500 has been awarded to the City of Foley for the Flags of Freedom: A 250th Anniversary Experience (a self-guided historical scavenger hunt through Graham Creek Nature Preserve), and
WHEREAS, the Marketing Department requests permission to memorialize the acceptance the grant due to the turnaround time to complete the grant and amend the revenue account accordingly.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Council memorializes the acceptance of the $2,500.00 Semiquincentennial Community Grant provided by the Alabama USA Semiquincentennial Commission.
SECTION 2: Council amends the revenue account accordingly: $2500.00 into 100-5060-4200 (America 250 Grant).
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
