WHEREAS, The City of Foley proposes participation in the International Council of Shopping Centers Conference and Tradeshow, partnered with the Alabama League of Municipalities, scheduled for May 18-20, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada; and
WHEREAS, A Community of Economic Development Organizations Sponsorship, at a cost of $1,000, will secure a dedicated booth for the City to facilitate the promotion of its economic development initiatives and engage with prospective business investors; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the City of Foley's $1,000 sponsorship for the International Council of Shopping Centers Conference and Tradeshow, partnered with the Alabama League of Municipalities, scheduled for May 18-20, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
SECTION 2: The $1,000 Community of Economic Development Organizations Sponsorship authorized herein shall be paid from the City of Foley Public Relations Account No. 100-1011-6052.
SECTION 3: The appropriate city officials are hereby authorized to take all actions necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution.
SECTION 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption by the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama.
