In order to maintain the efficiency of operation for the Foley Public Library the following vendors will be declared Primary Source Vendors and are valuable as suppliers of books, audio/visual material, and E-books needed for the successful operation of the Library: Ingram, SYNCB/Amazon, Children's Plus, Rainbow Book Company, Baker & Taylor, Baker & Taylor Entertainment, Over Drive, Recorded Books, Gale/Cengage Learning, and Book Page.

WHEREAS, Ingram, SYNCB/Amazon, Children's Plus, Rainbow Book Company, Baker & Taylor, Baker & Taylor Entertainment, Over Drive, Recorded Books, Gale/Cengage Learning, and Book Page are primary sources for books, audio/visual, and E-books purchased by the Library, and
WHEREAS, according to the Code of Alabama, 1975 Section 41-16-51 (a) (8) the book purchases are exempt from the bid law.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Ingram, SYNCB/Amazon, Children's Plus, Rainbow Book Company, Baker & Taylor, Baker & Taylor Entertainment, Over Drive, Recorded Books, Gale/Cengage Learning, and Book Page are declared primary sources for books, audio/visual material, and E-books in an amount up to $68,000.00 under Account No. 01-614-5100 (Books) and Account No. 01-614-5025 Audio/Visual) as budgeted in the FY2017 General Fund Budget.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
