WHEREAS, The Council adopted Resolution #20-1116 on May 4, 2020 implementing spending reduction measures of which included gaining permission of Council for the filling of vacant positions. This resolution authorizes the filling of two recent vacancies in the Street Department, one due to promotion and one due to resignation. All of the action in this resolution is budget neutral.

WHEREAS, The Council adopted Resolution #20-1116 on May 4, 2020 implementing spending reduction measures of which included gaining permission of Council for the filling of vacant positions. This resolution authorizes the filling of two recent vacancies in the Street Department, one due to promotion and one due to resignation. All of the action in this resolution is budget neutral.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Authorizes the filling of a vacancy created by internal promotion in the Street Department for the budgeted position of Part-Time, Temporary Equipment Operator I.
SECTION 2: Authorizes the filling of a vacancy created by resignation in the Street Department for the budgeted position of Full-Time, Regular, Equipment Operator I.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
