A job analysis was requested and approved for one slot in the position of Maintenance Technician. One employee in this position has taken on additional responsibilities serving as backup to the Municipal Complex Event Coordinator. This requires a good working knowledge of the fundamentals of operating a commercial warming kitchen, experience with operating a digital sound & lighting board and be willing to work nights and weekend events. This employee is also serving as a translator for various city departments to assist with communication with our Spanish speaking citizens and customers. This action is budget neutral due to a surplus in the department's personnel accounts.

WHEREAS, an internal job analysis resulted in the need to amend the Pay Classification Plan for a position in the Municipal Complex department due to additional responsibilities and multi-lingual abilities added to one employee's job functions in the position.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Amends the Pay Classification Plan by eliminating one (1) slot in the position of Maintenance Technician (Job Code 1020106 / Grade 90) and authorizing the new position of Maintenance Technician & Municipal Complex Specialist (Job Code 1020110 / Grade 100).
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
