A Resolution Requesting Permission to Bid the Installation of Utilities and General Oversight for the Beulah Heights Upgrade Project.

 

Summary

Parks and Recreation is in need of a general contractor to oversee the preparation and installation of utilities for the new bathroom building at Beulah Heights Park.  The scope of work consists of site preparations for new utilities, connecting the utilities to the new prefabricated building, and also overseeing the overall project to ensure all aspects are in line with the engineered plans.  This work is a part of the existing capital project listed as the Beulah Heights Park Upgrades and we do not anticipate needing additional funding at this time.

     WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation has a need for a contractor to install utilities and oversee the overall scope of the project, and

     WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation is requesting permission to bid the installation of utilities, general oversight, and any other components as required. 

     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

     SECTION 1:     Approves going to bid for the installation of utilities, general oversight of the project, and any other components as required.

     SECTION 2:     Approves awarding the bid under the existing capital project listed as the Beulah Heights Park Upgrade under account #400-5037-5100.

     SECTION 3:     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
