WHEREAS, the Museum Archives Board requests the damaged sheet metal train currently located near the depot be moved from the park and stored for safekeeping, and
WHEREAS, the Museum Archives Board is requesting to purchase a new train-themed play set to replace it using restricted cash in the Depot Museum checking account, and
WHEREAS, the Depot Museum wishes to go to bid for the new train themed play set and after bids are opened, the Depot Museum will come back before Council to amend the budget for the purchase.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the request to remove the damaged sheet metal train and move it to storage.
SECTION 2: Approves to go to bid for a new train-themed train set.
SECTION 3: Acknowledge that restricted cash in the Depot Museum checking account will be used to make the purchase and the budget will be amended with bid acceptance.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
