WHEREAS, the Elberta German Sausage Festival is a long-standing regional tradition established in 1978 that attracts thousands of visitors to the community; and
WHEREAS, the proceeds and efforts from the festival directly support the vital operations of the Elberta Volunteer Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, sponsorship opportunities provide community recognition while directly benefiting public safety and local festival traditions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to support the October 31, 2026 Elberta German Sausage Festival by electing to participate at an appropriate sponsorship level.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council hereby approves financial support for the October 2026 Elberta German Sausage Festival in the following selected tier (Council to select one option below):
• [ ] Presenting Sponsor - $5,000 (Limit 1)
• [ ] Platinum Sponsor - $2,500 (Limit 4)
• [ ] Main Stage Sponsor - $1,500 (Limit 2)
• [ ] Gold Sponsor - $1,000
• [ ] Silver Sponsor - $500
• [ ] Bronze Sponsor - $250
SECTION 2: The total approved sum of $__________ shall be disbursed from the appropriate municipal fund line item prior to the sponsor application deadline of October 1, 2026.
SECTION 3: The Mayor and/or City Clerk are hereby authorized to submit the official sponsorship application and perform all actions necessary to carry out the terms of this Resolution.
