Resolution to Approve Thompson Engineering's ALDOT Permitting Contract Addendum for the Foley Beach Express Industrial Park Access Roads

Thompson Engineering will also provide additional surveying and engineering design services to incorporate additional improvements requested by ALDOT to permit the project. To complete the ALDOT permit for work in their right of way, we need to amend Thompson Engineering's contract.

WHEREAS, Resolution 25-1439 approved Thompson Engineering's professional services proposal for the Foley Beach Express Industrial Park Access Roads; and
WHEREAS, ALDOT submitted plan review comments indicating acceleration lanes and extending turn lanes will be required along Foley Beach Express (AL 161); and
WHEREAS, to complete the required ALDOT permit to perform work in their right-of-way, an amendment to Thompson Engineering's contract will be required; and
WHEREAS, Thompson Engineering submitted an addendum for the ALDOT right-of-way permit work
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approve Thompson Engineering's contract addendum and appropriate $10,000.00 to Account No #400-3020-5104 FBE
SECTION 2: Authorizes the Mayor to sign the addendum
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
