Request funding up to $6500 for ADEM Underground Storage Tank (UST) Compliance testing and upgrades for the Airport fueling system through Petro Installation Company, Inc. Also request ADEM permit fees up to $2050 for air and UST permits to gain compliance with state regulatory requirements. Airport accounts would need to be amended accordingly as well.

WHEREAS, the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) regulates the operation and maintenance of underground fuel storage tanks.
WHEREAS, the City of Foley owns the Foley Municipal Airport which has an aviation fuel system.
WHEREAS, the airport fuel system requires permits up to $2050 for air emissions and underground fuel storage.
WHEREAS, the airport fuel system requires testing and upgrades to gain compliance with the ADEM regulatory requirements.
WHEREAS, Petro Installation Company, Inc. upgraded the airport fueling system in 1995 and has provided the City with a quote of up to $6500 for testing, minor upgrades and assistance with the regulatory paperwork requirements.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts Petro Installation Company, Inc. proposal of up to $6500 and associated ADEM permit fees of up to $2050.
SECTION 2: Amends Account No. 01-613-6040 for Airport General Equipment/Maintenance to add up to $6500 and 01-613-8990 for Airport Miscellaneous to add up to $2050, accordingly.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
