WHEREAS, there is a need to make safety improvements to the layout of the existing north to west and south to east left turn lanes along the Foley Beach Express at the County Road 20 intersection, and
WHEREAS, Engineering has identified potential improvement areas and a project exists in the amended Capital Projects Planning Document for the remainder of FY 2017, and
WHEREAS, a proposal for surveying the area to finalize the in-house preliminary design has been solicited, and
WHEREAS, a geotechnical proposal necessary to finalize the in-house preliminary design and to provide construction materials testing has been solicited.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Appropriates $8,500.00 for the completion of professional services for the Foley Beach Express/County Road 20 Safety Project for Account No. 12-665-7379.
SECTION 2: Approves HMR, LLC's proposal in the amount of $3,000.00 for surveying professional services for Account No. 12-665-7379.
SECTION 3: Approves Geocon, Inc.'s proposal in the amount of $5,500.00 for geotechnical professional services including construction material testing for Account No. 12-665-7379.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
