With the recent resignation of Captain David White, there is a desire to restructure Police Department personnel in order to maximize labor resources and PD Operations. This will require inactivating five (5) current positions, re-activating one (1) previously inactive position, and creating four (4) new positions as reflected on the attached spreadsheet. This request is budget neutral and no funding is needed or being requested for this action.

     WHEREAS, With the recent resignation of Captain David White, there is a desire to restructure Police Department personnel in order to maximize labor resources and PD operations. This will require in-activating five (5) current positions, re-activating one (1) previously inactive position, and creating four (4) new positions. This request is budget neutral and no funding is needed or being requested for this action. 

 

     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

 

     SECTION 1:     Authorizes an amendment to the Pay Classification Plan to inactivate five (5) current positions, re-activate one (1) previously inactive position, and create four (4) new positions as reflected on the attached spreadsheet which becomes a permanent part of this resolution upon adoption. This action becomes effective in the Pay Classification Plan with the Pay Period Beginning March 7, 2017.  

     SECTION 2:     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
