WHEREAS, The City of Foley Community Development Department requested permission and was approved to apply for the FY2020 Alabama Historic Commission Historic Sites Grant Program on Resolution 19-1226, and
WHEREAS, the Alabama Historic Commission has awarded the City of Foley $10,250 to assist with renovations to the Hamburg Building, and
WHEREAS, there is $25,000 in the FY20 budget for repairs to the Hamburg building in the capital project plan. CDD requests to begin this project by working with Engineering to get quotes on the evaluation of the Hamburg structure and how to best proceed with needed repairs, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts the $10,250 award from the FY2020 Alabama Historic Commission Historic Sites Grant Program.
SECTION 2: Approves to begin the Hamburg Building capital project by working with Engineering to get quotes on the evaluation of the Hamburg structure and how to best proceed with needed repairs.
SECTION 3: Approves the following accounts to be amended accordingly: #400-3020-5129 (Hamburg Building Preservation Expense) in the amount of $10,250 & account #400-3020-4204 (AL Historic Commission Grant Revenue) in the amount of $10,250.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
