WHEREAS, Engineering and Public Works have been requested to study the Magnolia Gardens Subdivision area in regards to possible drainage improvements in the southern section of the subdivision, and
WHEREAS, this project is on the ARPA Project List, and
WHEREAS, a survey proposal has been requested from EDG in order to study the topography of the area to determine the feasibility of excavating a drainage ditch to convey stormwater southward to US98 more efficiently, and
WHEREAS, EDG has provided a survey proposal in the amount of $2,800 for the survey work related to the potential drainage project, and
WHEREAS, future drainage easements may be pursued from the impacted property owners after the survey is reviewed and the feasibility and benefit (if any) is analyzed.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approve the survey proposal from Engineering Design Group in the amount of $2,800.00 for the survey of the drainage area and appropriate the necessary funding of $2,800 under Account No.400-3020-5158 R67 Prof.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
