WHEREAS, OWA requests to host fireworks shows beginning at 8:50 pm on the following holidays:
Memorial Day Weekend - Saturday May 27, 2023; make-up day Sunday, May 28, 2023
Fourth of July Weekend - Saturday, July 1, 20236; make-up day Sunday, July 2, 2023
Labor Day - Saturday, September 2, 2023; make-up day Sunday September 3, 2023, and
WHEREAS, OWA requests permission to coordinate with the City of Foley Fire and Police Departments during these events as it pertains to general public safety and traffic routes.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves fireworks display to be held at the OWA grounds on the above listed dates and times.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
