WHEREAS, Officer James "Mike" Powers is retiring from law enforcement, having served 17 years of his career with the Foley Police Department and
WHEREAS, Foley Police Department is requesting the City to declare surplus his badge and (1) service weapon to allow him to receive that upon his retirement.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Declares Officer James "Mike" Powers' badge and (1) service weapon as surplus and authorizes these items to be given to Officer "Mike" Powers upon his retirement from the City of Foley.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
