WHEREAS, there is a need to modify some positions in the Finance Division in order to provide more support for the tracking and administration of City Capital Projects, and
WHEREAS, job analysis and job descriptions have been completed by The Archer Company and are attached to this resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Authorizes deletion of the “Purchasing Agent/Airport & Risk Mgr/EMA Director” (G-28) position and replaces it with the position titled, “Project & Risk Manager/EMA Director” (G-28), exempt and safety sensitive, effective pay period beginning November 19, 2013, and, authorizes employee #01-0100 to remain in this position.
SECTION 2: Authorizes deletion of the “Finance Administrative Assistant” (G-9) position and replaces it with the position titled, “Purchasing Agent/Airport Manager” (G-16), exempt and safety sensitive, effective pay period beginning November 19, 2013, and, authorizes employee #01-0707 to remain in this position.
SECTION 3: Authorizes deletion of the vacant “Accounting Assistant” (G-10) position and replaces it with the position titled, “Accountant/Asset Manager” (G-19), exempt and safety sensitive, effective pay period beginning November 19, 2013, and authorizes the filling of this position pay period beginning February 25, 2014.
SECTION 4: Authorizes an allocation of funds in the FY14 budget in the total amount of $10,382.49 in support of this action as follows:
• 01-620-1010 Salaries: $8,995.06
• 01-620-1030 Payroll Taxes: $688.35
• 01-620-1041 Life/STD/LTD: $50.54
• 01-620-1050 Retirement: $625.81
• 01-620-1160 Workers Comp $22.73
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
