WHEREAS, the Foley Police Department requests Council’s permission to submit an application for ALEA's FY26 Homeland Security Grant Program, and
WHEREAS, applications are due July 15th, and
WHEREAS, the Police Department will be applying for the soft target / crowded places protection portion of the grant, and
WHEREAS, the maximum grant request is $200,000 with no match required.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the Police Department's request to submit an application to ALEA's FY26 Homeland Security Grant Program.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
