The increased traffic generated by subdivisions along Wolf Bay Drive along with the successful city events at GCNP have transitioned the primary traffic patterns to allow Wolf Bay Drive to become the primary through-put instead of the peninsula of CR 12. Project will consist of converting the 90 degree turn from CR 12 at Wolf Bay Drive into a low speed curve for the east to south movement and the north to west movement. A stop sign will be added to the westbound approach. A construction budget has not been established at this point. We request funding the survey proposal now ($3,000) with the construction likely to take place in FY 22. Engineering plans to perform the design in-house.

WHEREAS, Due to the alteration of the traffic pattern along the County Road 12 / Wolf Bay Drive corridors in the recent years, the Engineering Department was requested to review the intersection geometry, and
WHEREAS, after review the Engineering Department requested a survey proposal for professional survey services from Engineering Design Group in order to determine what improvements would be feasible, and
WHEREAS, Engineering Design Group has submitted a proposal in the amount of $2,800 to perform the necessary survey and drafting work to provide the Engineering Department with the necessary information to study the intersection,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves Engineering Design Group's survey proposal to perform the survey and drafting work at the County Road 12 / Wolf Bay Drive intersection.
SECTION 2: Appropriates $3,000 under Account No. 400-3020-5159 R69 Prof/Const.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
