Summary
The Nature Parks Department requests permission to apply the FY2026 Alabama Coastal Area Management Program (ACAMP) grant through ADCNR. ACAMP is current accepting applications until May 9, 2025. Matching funds will be required at a 1:1 ratio with grant funds. If awarded, the funds will be used towards the construction of the Bob Schrieber Trail. The estimated project cost is $250,000, however the grant maximum is $50,000 with the remaining project costs will be city funded.

WHEREAS, the Nature Parks Department requests permission to apply the FY2026 Alabama Coastal Area Management Program (ACAMP) grant through ADCNR, and
WHEREAS, ACAMP is current accepting applications until May 9, 2025, and
WHEREAS, matching funds will be required at a 1:1 ratio with grant funds, and
WHEREAS, if awarded, the funds will be used towards the construction of the Bob Schrieber Trail, and
WHEREAS, the estimated project cost is $250,000, however the grant maximum is $50,000 with the remaining project costs to be city funded.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Council approves the Nature Parks department to apply for the FY2026 Alabama Coastal Area Management Program grant.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
