Title
A Resolution to Rescind Resolution 23-1393 A Resolution to Appropriate Funds and Approve the Max Griffin Park Bathroom Capital Project and Appropriate Funds for a New Max Griffin Park Improvement Project.
Summary
In FY23, council approved and appropriate funding to add a bathroom building next to the Kids Park in Max Griffin Park. While planning and designing the new Aquatics Center, it was determined the best option for the park is to add exterior bathrooms to the Aquatics Center instead of a standalone bathroom building. The funds for the project are still currently available and the project remains active. We would like to use the $204,000 from this previous project and reallocate it to upgrading the lighting on the softball field to new LED Musco Lights. Due to the location of the Aquatics Center, we’re already having to relocate the primary service and overhead transformers to accommodate the existing softball field lights. We’re also using this Aquatics Center project to address the numerous overhead power lines in this park. We plan to purchase the equipment through Musco Sports Lighting Sourcewell Contract 041123-MSL and will need to go to bid for the removal of the old lights and installation of the new lights.
