WHEREAS, previously on March 23, 2026 under Resolution 26-1086, Council accepted grant funds from the FY26 Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement Program II (ATRIP II) for the Intersection Improvements to Miflin Road / SR 161 grant: $2,950,000.00 as a total project estimate, including contingencies under Account #400-3020-5182 (ATRIP - FBE & Miflin Expense) and $2,000,000.00 in grant revenue under Account #400-320-4106 (ATRIP - FBE & Miflin Revenue); and
WHEREAS, after much discussion, staff recommends transferring $2,950,000.00 from Account #400-3020-5182 (ATRIP - FBE & Miflin Expense) and $2,000,000.00 in grant revenue under Account #400-320-4106 (ATRIP - FBE & Miflin Revenue) to 2,950,000.00 to Account #208-3000-5105 - FBE & Miflin Expense and $2,000,000.00 in grant revenue under Account #208-3000-4100 - ATRIP Grant - FBE & Miflin; and
WHEREAS, this will allow staff to utilize the Impact Fee Funds that have been collected for transportation projects, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approved to amend Resolution 26-1086 and authorizes the transfer of $2,950,000.00 from Account #400-3020-5182 (ATRIP - FBE & Miflin Expense) and $2,000,000.00 in grant revenue from Account #400-3020-4106 (ATRIP - FBE & Miflin Revenue) to 2,950,000.00 to Account #208-3000-5105 - FBE & Miflin Expense and $2,000,000.00 in grant revenue under Account #208-3000-4100 - ATRIP Grant - FBE & Miflin.
SECTION 2: Approves utilizing transportation Impact Fee Funds to fund the ATRIP - FBE & Miflin Project.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
