Summary
The City leases space adjacent to the Holmes Museum and subleases it to Gypsy Java Queen coffee shop. The current tenant is selling the business to an employee who wishes to remain at the location which requires the City to agree to a consent to assignment of the sublease. The Mayor will need to be authorized to sign the Consent as soon as the tenant provides a fully executed Assignment of Lease.

WHEREAS, the City leases space adjacent to the Holmes Museum and subleases it to Gypsy Java Queen coffee shop located at 111 West Laurel Avenue, and
WHEREAS, the tenant is selling the business and is requesting Council consent to assignment of the sublease.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the attached Consent to Assignment of Sublease and authorizes the Mayor to executed the same, immediately upon receipt of the Assignment of Lease from the tenant to be included as Exhibit "B".
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
