OWA is seeking approval to hold the fireworks displays. WHEREAS, OWA requests to host a rescheduled Memorial Day Weekend fireworks display beginning at 8:45 on July 21, 2018, and
WHEREAS, OWA requests to host a Fourth of July Weekend fireworks display beginning at 8:45 on July 4, 2018, and
WHEREAS, OWA requests to host a Labor Day Weekend fireworks display beginning at 8:45 on September 3, 2018, and
WHEREAS, OWA requests to host a New Year's Eve Weekend fireworks display beginning at 8:45 on December 31, 2018, and
WHEREAS, OWA will coordinate with City of Foley Fire and Police Departments concerning safety and traffic routes, and
WHEREAS, Premier Pyrotechnics, Inc. will obtain all necessary permits from the State of Alabama and the City of Foley.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves fireworks display to be held at the OWA grounds at 8:45 p.m. on July 4, 2018.
SECTION 2: Approves fireworks display to be held at the OWA grounds at 8:45 p.m. on July 21, 2018 (Rescheduled Memorial Day Display).
SECTION 3: Approves fireworks display to be held at the OWA grounds at 8:45 p.m. on September 3, 2018.
SECTION 4: Approves fireworks display to be held at the OWA grounds at 8:45 p.m. on December 31, 2018.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
