WHEREAS, The City of Foley has been offered funding through the State Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP), and
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department is requesting approval to accept HSIP-0220 ( ); CPMS Ref# 100072267 grant for shoulder widening, super elevation correction, and rumble strips to Foley Beach Express, and
WHEREAS, the cost of the project covered by the grant will be limited to $1,249,535.18 with a 10% matching share of approximately $138,837.24, and any overrun in costs will be borne by the City, and
WHEREAS, the GL accounts will be amended in FY22.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the Mayor executing the HSIP-0220 ( ); CPMS Ref# 100072267 grant for shoulder widening, super elevation correction, and rumble strips to Foley Beach Express.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
