WHEREAS, Foley Public Library & the Depot Museum previously requested permission to jointly apply for the FY2020 Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) CARES Act Grant for Museums and Libraries on RES 20-1141, and
WHEREAS, IMLS has awarded the City of Foley $34,951.00 with $1,775.00 as in kind matching funds, and
WHEREAS, the Library & Depot request to accept the award and amends the following accounts in the FY21 budget: 100-5020-4300 IMLS CARES Act Grant Revenue account by $34,951.00 and 100-5020-6025 IMLS CARES Act Grant Expense account by $34,951.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts the FY2020 grant award from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) CARES Act Grant for Museums and Libraries for $34,951.00 and amends the FY21 budget accounts accordingly.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
