WHEREAS, the State of Alabama Ethics Commission says that public officials/board members fall under the State Ethics Law, and therefore should have the opportunity to educate themselves regarding this law, and
 
      WHEREAS, the Alabama Ethics Commission has recently developed an online video training of the Alabama Ethics Law, which can be accessed at their website at www.ethics.alabama.gov, and
 
      WHEREAS, all newly appointed or reappointed board members must submit a copy of their training certification to the City of Foley as a condition to being appointed/reappointed to the boards.
 
      NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
 
      SECTION 1:      Reappoints Sheila Hodges to the Board of Adjustments and Appeals beginning October 4, 2012 and ending October 4, 2015 based on the conditions that he submits a copy of the Alabama Ethics Law certification to the City Clerk to be included in the City's General Files.
 
      SECTION 2:      Reappoints David Rauch to the Planning Commission beginning October  6, 2012 and ending October 6, 2018 based on the conditions that he submits a copy of the Alabama Ethics Law certification to the City Clerk to be included in the City's General Files.
 
      SECTION 3:      Reappoints Phillip Hinesley to the Planning Commission beginning October  4, 2012 and ending October 4, 2018 based on the conditions that he submits a copy of the Alabama Ethics Law certification to the City Clerk to be included in the City's General Files.
 
      SECTION 4:      Reappoints Bob Graham to the Senior Citizens Board beginning October 1, 2012 and ending October 1, 2015 based on the conditions that he submits a copy of the Alabama Ethics Law certification to the City Clerk to be included in the City's General Files.
 
      SECTION 5:      Reappoints Charlie Fisher to the Senior Citizens Board beginning October 16, 2012 and ending October 16, 2015 based on the conditions that he submits a copy of the Alabama Ethics Law certification to the City Clerk to be included in the City's General Files.
 
      SECTION 6:      Reappoints Frank Henning to the Fire Code of Appeals beginning November 16, 2012 and ending November 16, 2015 based on the conditions that he submits a copy of the Alabama Ethics Law certification to the City Clerk to be included in the City's General Files.
 
      SECTION 7:      Reappoints Clyde Abrams to the Foley Building Authority, the Library Authority, Public Park & Recreation Authority and Foley Redevelopment Authority beginning November 13, 2012 and ending November 13, 2018 based on the conditions that he submits a copy of the Alabama Ethics Law certification to the City Clerk to be included in the City's General Files.
 
SECTION 8:      This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
