     WHEREAS, the City of Foley entered into an agreement with Volkert, Inc. on February 3, 2020 to provide all necessary professional services associated with improvements to the Foley Municipal Airport, and,

     WHEREAS, Runway 18/36, Taxiway A and the South Apron Pavement are in need of pavement maintenance due to all being weathered, raveling and containing longitudinal and transverse cracking.

     WHEREAS, Volkert has submitted Supplemental Agreement No. 3 in the amount of $85,182.81 for the total amount of engineering services related to the design, bid and construction phases of the pavement maintenance project with a portion being spent in FY21 and the remainder in FY22.

     WHEREAS, the estimated amount planned in FY21 for the design and bid phase of this project is $32,550.00. 

     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

     SECTION 1:     Approves Volkert Inc.'s Supplemental Agreement No. 3 in the amount of $85,182.81.

     SECTION 2:     Appropriates $85,182.81 to account number 400-1070-5106 Runway 18/36, Taxiway A, S. Apron-Pavement with the expectation of approximately $32,550 being spent in FY21 and the balance to be spent in FY22.

     SECTION 3:     Approves Volkert going to bid on this project.

     SECTION 4:     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
