A Resolution Requesting Permission to Enter into an Agreement with Thompson Engineering for NEPA Consulting Services

 

Summary

City staff recommends moving forward to enter into an agreement with Thompson Engineering for NEPA Consulting Services for a parcel of land on Foley Beach Express. The NEPA is a grant requirement and the City can not move forward with the grant until the NEPA is complete. Staff requests to amend the budget by $85,000.00 in account # 100-1011-6020 (Consulting/Professional Fees - Admin) to cover the cost of the contract with Thompson Engineering.

WHEREAS, City staff recommends moving forward to enter into an agreement with Thompson Engineering for NEPA Consulting Services for a parcel of land on Foley Beach Express, and

WHEREAS, the NEPA is a grant requirement and the City can not move forward with the grant until the NEPA is complete, and

WHEREAS, staff requests to amend the budget by $85,000.00 in account # 100-1011-6020 (Consulting/Professional Fees - Admin) to cover the cost of the contract with Thompson Engineering

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

SECTION 1:     Approves the Thompson Engineering agreement for NEPA consulting services and allocates $85,000.00 in funds under Account No. 100-1011-6020 (Consulting/Professional Fees - Admin).

SECTION 2:     Authorizes the Mayor and City staff to execute the agreement with Thompson Engineering.

SECTION 3:     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
