WHEREAS, the Police Department and the Parks and Recreation Department need to amend the City's Pay Classification Plan to accommodate departmental restructure.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Authorizes the amendment to the Pay Classification Plan in the Police Department by eliminating one slot in the position of Sergeant/Community Oriented Policing (Job Code 2010127 / Grade 200) and authorizing the new position of Commander/Code Enforcement Division (Job Code 2010166 / Grade 220).
SECTION 2: Authorizes the amendment to the Pay Classification Plan in the Parks and Recreation Department by eliminating one slot in the position of Parks Maintenance Worker II (Job Code 5030120 / Grade 70) and authorizing one additional slot in the position of Parks Maintenance Worker I (Job Code 5030118 / Grade 50).
SECTION 3: Authorizes the amendment to the Pay Classification Plan in the Library by changing the title from Head of History & Genealogy (Job Code 5020127 / Grade 130) to Head of Cultural & Heritage Collections (Job Code 5020133 / Grade 130) and from Part-Time History & Genealogy Technician (Job Code 5020131 / Grade 130) to Part-Time Cultural & Heritage Collections Technician (Job Code 5020134 / Grade 130). All amendments are budget neutral.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
