A Resolution to Accept the Grant Award from ADCNR for the Beulah Heights Stormwater Management Plan

 

Summary

The Environmental Department requested permission and was approved to apply for the Alabama Coastal Area Management Program through the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) on Resolution 22-1089. The ADCNR has awarded the City of Foley $60,235 for creation of a Beulah Heights Stormwater Management Plan. The estimated total project cost is $81,750 with $60,235 being funding by the grant and $21,515 being matched in cash. The Environmental Department requests the following accounts be amended accordingly: 100-2031-6025 (ADCNR - Grant Expense) in the amount of $81,750 and account 100-2040-4201 (ADCNR - Grant Revenue) in the amount of $60,235. The Environmental Department requests to contract for these services and allows the Mayor to execute an agreement in an amount up to $81,750.

     WHEREAS, The Environmental Department requested permission and was approved to apply for the Alabama Coastal Area Management Program through the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) on Resolution 22-1089, and

     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

 

     SECTION 1: Accepts the $60,235 award in order to create a Beulah Heights Stormwater Management Plan with the estimated total project cost of $81,750 with $60,235 being funding by the grant and $21,515 being matched in cash.

 

     SECTION 2: Approves the following accounts be amended accordingly: 100-2031-6025 (ADCNR - Grant Expense) in the amount of $81,750 and account 100-2040-4201 (ADCNR - Grant Revenue) in the amount of $60,235.

 

     SECTION 3: Council authorizes the Mayor and other City officials to execute the grant agreement and other documents as required for the acceptance of the grant and allows the Mayor to execute an agreement in an amount up to $81,750.

 

     SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
