WHEREAS, the Nature Parks Department requests to memorialize the grant application for the FY24 Legislative Event Grant that was submitted on behalf of the City of Foley by Representative Francis Holk, and
WHEREAS, the City of Foley's Haunted Forest event has been awarded a $2,600 grant with no matching funds required, and
WHEREAS, these funds will be used for event promotions, advertising and operations, and
WHEREAS, the Nature Parks Department requests to amend the following accounts: 100-5090-6051 (Printing & Advertising Expense) by $1,300 and 100-5090-6160 (Event Operations Expense) by $1,300 and 100-5090- (GCNP - Event Grant Revenue) by $2,600.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Council would like to thank Representative Holk for her support of Graham Creek Nature Preserve and their Haunted Forest event.
SECTION 2: Memorializes the application submitted on behalf of the City of Foley and accepts the FY2024 Legislative Event Grant for $2,600.
SECTION 3: Approves to amend the budget as follows: 100-5090-6051 (Printing & Advertising Expense) by $1,300 and 100-5090-6160 (Event Operations Expense) by $1,300 and 100-5090-4300 (GCNP - Event Grants Revenue) by $2,600.
SECTION 4: Council authorizes the Mayor and other City officials to execute the grant agreement and other documents as required for the acceptance of the grant.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
