The Environmental Departments requested to submit an application for the FY2027 Alabama Coastal Area Management Program (ACAMP) grant through ADCNR on 26-1085-RES. The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) has awarded the City of Foley $50,000 with a required match of $50,000, however, as this project is expected to cost $150,000, the match in reality will be $100,000. Staff requests permission to accept the grant and amend the budget as requested.

WHEREAS, the Environmental Departments requested to submit an application for the FY2027 Alabama Coastal Area Management Program (ACAMP) grant through ADCNR on 26-1085-RES, and
WHEREAS, ADCNR has awarded the City of Foley $50,000 with a required match of $50,000, and
WHEREAS, the projected expense to create the Wolf Bay Watershed Stormwater Management Plan is $150,000 so the match would actually be $100,000, and
WHEREAS, $100,000 has been budgeted for this plan under 100-2040-6025 ADCNR Grant Expense, but the additional expense and revenue accounts need to be amended, and
WHEREAS, staff requests permission to accept the grant and amend the budget as requested: $50,000 to 100-2040-4201 ADCNR-Grant Revenue Account and $50,000 to 100-2040-6025 ADCNR Grant Expense Account.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts the $50,000 ACAMP grant awarded by ADCNR for the Wolf Bay Watershed Stormwater Management Plan.
SECTION 2: Authorizes the Mayor and other City staff to sign the grant agreement and other necessary grant documents.
SECTION 3: Amends the budget as requested: $50,000 to 100-2040-4201 ADCNR-Grant Revenue Account and $50,000 to 100-2040-6025 ADCNR Grant Expense Account.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
