WHEREAS, the city of Foley was recently designated a WWII Heritage City by the US Parks Service, and
WHEREAS, Barin Field, the City's airport, was used by the US Government as a training field to train Navy pilots who fought in WWII and also in the Korean War.
and WHEREAS an exhibit to commemorate this important history is estimated to cost $22,500,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves a budget increase in the amount of $22,500 and appropriates funds to account number 100-5061-6034
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
