Recreation is requesting to purchase a new John Deere ProGator and Select Spray for $34,328.91 from the NJPA Contract. The equipment will be used to spray our fields, common areas, and ditches. We are currently using a smaller sprayer that requires days for each application and the new sprayer will significantly increase our efficiency. The gator is budgeted in the amount of $34,500 as a "spray rig" under account 01-622-7010.

WHEREAS, the Recreation Department is in need of an additional Gator for field maintenance and tournaments,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the the purchase of a John Deere Gator/Sprayer for $34,328.91 off of the NJPA contract for Beard Equipment Company from account 01-622-7010.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
